Sharing Culture with Aunty Michelle Earl

We are pleased to welcome Aunty Michelle back to our preschool in 2026. Aunty Michelle is a proud Darkinjung woman with Wonnarua ties, and we are grateful to have her working with our children again this year, sharing her knowledge and passion for Aboriginal culture.

Aunty Michelle’s workshops give children the opportunity to engage with Aboriginal culture in meaningful and practical ways. Through art, storytelling, and discussion, she introduces children to traditions and stories that have been shared across generations.

Her sessions go beyond simply creating artwork. Aunty Michelle teaches the meaning behind symbols, the importance of Country, and the stories that connect people, land, animals, and community. These experiences support children to build an early understanding and respect for the world’s oldest continuing culture.

For many of our returning children, Aunty Michelle is already a familiar and respected part of our preschool community. We are also excited for our new children to experience her workshops and learn from the knowledge and perspective she brings.

We are thankful for Aunty Michelle’s continued involvement in our program and look forward to another year of learning with her in 2026.
