Professional Development and Parent workshop with Marina Bailey

Last night we had the pleasure of spending the evening with the wonderful Marina Bailey, who presented professional development to our educational team followed by a parent workshop.

Marina is a psychologist based in Sydney, who has worked with hundreds of families and professionals over the last 30 years. She is a passionate advocate for creating A-Team around the child to achieve the best outcomes possible.

Marina is enthusiastic about creating environments which support the needs of those who think and learn differently and to work with the strengths of individuals within these environments -including the child, family and educator.

The educational team attended a 1 hour professional development session called raising concerns with families. After a small break to have some super the families then arrived and joined us for a 1 ½ hour workshop called building your children's emotional resilience.

A huge shout out to the 19 parents who attended this workshop and gave of their time to learn more on how to best support their children’s emotional intelligence.

This evening was made possible through an AECD grant that the preschool was successful in obtaining.
